The Checkpoint – originally Off White – is a long sleeve 100% cotton shirt. It features a classic collar and a button closure. The shirt has four flap pockets at the front, adorned with our engraved Études rivet.

This piece is part of a limited-edition, handmade capsule created in collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Thomas Mailaender, in conjunction with his latest exhibition “Les Belles Images” at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) in Paris.

In his studio in Marseille, the artist has transformed some of our essential pieces using the cyanotype process, a traditional photographic technique that creates blue-colored prints when exposed to light. By immersing the cotton pieces in water, and after drying, Thomas Mailaender’s images appear in blue and white.
